What does a haircut at Rogue Salon include?
A haircut at Rogue Salon is a precision cut shaped to your face, your texture, and the way you live. We cut for women, men, girls, and boys, and every women's and girls' cut is finished with a blow dry. It's for anyone in Oceanport who wants a shape that still works weeks after you leave our chair.
Who is a Rogue haircut for?
A cut here is for you if you want a shape that still works on day five. Some guests want a clean trim to keep their length healthy. Others bring a photo of curtain bangs or long layers and want a real change.
Living near the shore matters too. Summer humidity off the water can puff up a blunt line and flatten soft layers. We cut with that in mind, so your shape behaves in August as well as in January.
Which haircuts are on the menu?
- Women's Haircut & Blowout. A precision cut shaped to you, finished with a blow dry.
- Men's Haircut. A clean, tailored cut for any length, from short and sharp to grown out.
- Girls' Haircut & Blowout (12 and under). A gentle cut and blow dry for younger guests.
- Boys' Haircut (12 and under). A quick, comfortable cut for kids.
Women's cut rates scale with stylist level, from Junior Stylist up to Master Stylist. Our apprentices also offer a women's cut and blowout at a lower rate. Current prices for every cut live on our Service Menu.
How does a haircut appointment work?
- Consultation. You tell us what bugs you about your hair right now and show us any inspiration photos. We check your growth pattern, cowlicks, and density before anything gets cut.
- Shampoo. We wash your hair at the bowl so we're cutting clean hair and can see its natural fall.
- Shape. We set the outline first, then build layers, face framing, or a fringe where they suit your face.
- Blow dry. Women's and girls' cuts finish with a blow dry, so you see how the shape moves before you leave.
- Home tips. We show you how to style it with the tools you already own, and what to ask for next time.
How often should you get a haircut?
Most guests come back every six to ten weeks. Short shapes and men's cuts usually need a tidy closer to the six week mark. Longer hair can stretch further before the line softens.
Fringes are the exception. Curtain bangs reach your eyes long before the rest of the cut grows out. A quick fringe tidy between full cuts keeps them sitting right. Between visits, use a heat protectant before hot tools. Stretch visits too long, and split ends start to travel up the hair.
What if you want a big change, like bangs or a much shorter length?
Tell us at the start, and bring photos of what you love and what you don't. A big change is easier to plan when we know both.
Going much shorter, we take the length off first, then refine the shape so you can see it come together. If you're also changing color, ask about pairing the cut with hair color so the shape and the tone are planned together. For a polished finish before an event, see our styling services.
Who does haircuts at Rogue?
Sharon, our Co-Owner and Creative Director, leads our cutting. She trained at Bumble and Bumble, Toni & Guy, and John Sahag, and lists signature cutting and men's haircuts among her specialties. Maria, a Master Stylist trained at Paul Mitchell Academy and Vidal Sassoon, does precision cutting for women and men. Cathy cuts for women and men, and Brittani, Allie, and Katie all list cutting too. Hannah, an Apprentice Stylist, loves layered cuts.

Does the women's haircut include a blowout?
Yes. The Women's Haircut and Blowout is a precision cut finished with a blow dry, so you leave styled. The Girls' Haircut and Blowout for kids 12 and under includes a blow dry as well. It's a good chance to watch how your stylist handles your hair at home.
Do you cut men's hair?
Yes. The Men's Haircut is a clean, tailored cut for any length. Sharon and Maria both list men's haircuts as a specialty, and Cathy cuts for women and men. Tell us how you wear it day to day and what product you use, so the cut fits your routine.
What ages count as a kids' cut?
Our Girls' Haircut and Blowout and Boys' Haircut are for kids 12 and under. Older kids and teens book the Women's Haircut and Blowout or the Men's Haircut. If your child is nervous, mention it when you book and we'll keep things calm and simple.
How do I choose a stylist level?
Our team works from Junior Stylist to Master Stylist, and women's cut pricing scales with level. Every level starts with the same consultation. If you want a lower rate, our apprentices offer a women's cut and blowout. Call us and we'll help you match a stylist to your hair.
Should I bring a photo of the cut I want?
Please do. A photo shows us the length, layers, and fringe you have in mind far faster than words. Bring one of a cut you dislike too. We'll tell you what will work with your texture and how much styling time it needs at home.
