Where does Keratin Express fit in?

Keratin Express fits when you want smoothing in a quicker service. It's a good way to see how your hair feels with less frizz before you book a full treatment.

It also makes sense when you have something coming up and want easier hair for it. Think of a summer of beach days in Monmouth Beach or a busy stretch of events. Your stylist can tell you whether Express or a full keratin suits your hair and your plans.

Is Keratin Express a step down from a full keratin?

A body wave adds soft, loose shape rather than smoothing. It works in the opposite direction from keratin. That's why we check your texture before recommending anything from this part of the menu.

How do we choose your treatment at the consultation?

We look at your hair, ask how you style it, and then pick the treatment. Every appointment at Rogue starts with a consultation, and smoothing is no exception. Here is how that conversation usually goes.

2. Check your hair. Your stylist looks at your texture, your color history and how your hair has been treated.
3. Choose the treatment. We pick keratin, Brazilian Blowout, Magic Sleek, Keratin Express or a body wave. It comes down to your hair and how sleek you want to go.
4. Cleanse and apply. We cleanse your hair, then apply the treatment section by section.
5. Seal it in. Smoothing product is sealed in with heat. Depending on the treatment, you may leave with specific aftercare timing.
6. Plan your home care. We walk you through the sulfate-free routine that helps your result last.
